Today we celebrate GOOD FRIDAY online and encourage you during these very difficult times we face caused by CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 to focus on the importance of this day.

Let us PRAY…
Let us turn to the WORD and share this time in the presence of GOD.
Matthew 22 (NIV)
Jesus replied
37 Jesus replied: “Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
JESUS had given us the most commandment to live by is to LOVE.
Friends with LOVE comes forgiveness and we need to always be aware of this so that we do not stumble in life.
Let UNFORGIVENESS not be your stumbling block in LIFE.
Friends the 3 key parts of LOVE are TRUTH, TRUST, and THANKS and all 3 need to be in place for LOVE to grow in a relationship. Remember LOVE is not just a WORD, it’s an ACTION of commitment, so do not use the WORD of LOVE loosely.
Let Us Pray
“GOD we come before you today with hearts of concern and sadness because of the WORLD CRISIS we face caused by CORONAVIRUS that has captured the world and millions are sick and thousands have died because of COVID- 19. Please, GOD, hear our cry for help to HEAL our world of this virus and all its people that are ill because of this. In Jesus mighty name we ask this.” Amen

CELEBRATE JESUS
Today JESUS gave HIS LIFE for us to have LIFE.
Friends let us turn back to scripture and confirm what happened to JESUS in Matthew 27.
In Matthew 27: 11 JESUS stood before Pilate being the governor at the time and was questioned by him.
In Matthew 27: 22 Pilate asked “What shall I do, then with JESUS who is called the Messiah?” They all answered, “CRUCIFY HIM!”
In Matthew 27: 24 Pilate replied “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” The people took responsibility and replied, “His blood is on us and on our children!”
JESUS was then handed over to the governor’s soldiers to be CRUCIFIED.
JESUS was then CRUCIFIED and DIED for us to be SAVED.
The Body of JESUS was handed over to Joseph and placed in a tomb. They wrapped HIS body in a clean linen cloth and once done a bod stone was rolled across the entrance to the tomb.
The tomb was then even secured by governors guards and a guard was placed there.
Their fear was that JESUS had said, “After three days I will RISE again.”
Friends as you know this was TRUE as JESUS did RISE on the third day, which we celebrate on Sunday with “HE has RISEN.
Yes, let us live in the presence of our GOD and celebrate our LORD and accept HIS presence within us through the HOLY SPIRIT.
Friends you are not alone with the HOLY SPIRIT within you despite the difficulties, you may face always know that GOD is with you, and as you communicate with the HOLY SPIRIT peace will cover you and the stress of today will subside.
I trust this message of GOOD FRIDAY around Matthew 27 has encouraged you to continue sharing the message of forgiveness and new LIFE through JESUS who came in PEACE and left us with LOVE to share with others.
“Father, thank you for JESUS who gave HIS life to save us. Father we come to you today with heavy hearts of concern and grief because the WORLD is in a crisis caused by CORONAVIRUS that is claiming lives daily. Please help us, dear GOD, overcome this season and heal our WORLD of this virus. In JESUS mighty name we ask this.” Amen
